Funky Gourmet (2 Michelin stars)

Αs soon as it opened, in 2009, this elegant restaurant of contemporary aesthetic, decorated in grey, black and white hues, caused a sensation. The creative cuisine of Georgianna Hiliadakis and Nikos Roussos evolved quickly both in technique and aesthetics. The first Michelin star was awarded to the talented culinary duet and their team in 2012, and as of 2014 the stars listed in the famous gastronomic guide became two. And with good reason! Dining at the Funky Gourmet is an exceptional, one of a kind experience – and not just by Greek standards.
Seated on the upper floor, in a hall where the vibrant black and white canvases by Eva Mitala create an art gallery atmosphere, looking out on the charming neoclassical buildings of the Keramikos area through the windows, you will have a choice among three degustation menus (€ 90, € 120 and € 150), which express the innovative, amusing and tantalising suggestions of the kitchen. By directing their own gastronomical performance, drawing ideas from Greek cuisine and its traditions but also from the latest trends, references and techniques of the international haute cuisine, the chefs have many ways of enchanting lovers of gastronomy. The up to date wine list and the exemplary, well-coordinated service are to be counted among its strong suits.
