A+ R A-

Already acclaimed for his work outside Athens, also having had experience abroad, the young chef Alexander Tsiotinis has established his Athenian headquarters and is now making his mark on the city's culinary scene in an elegantly designed restaurant with a semi-open kitchen, where you can see him perfecting the exceptional soup with lobster and truffle, or the intricate lamb ravioli with olive crust. Its cuisine, creatively Mediterranean with a French background and scrumptious surprises is indeed appealing. The degustation menu is certainly worth trying.

With a successful track record in the northern suburbs, it closed for a little while and staged a fierce come back in the city center, in Kolonaki, in a space of minimalist aesthetic, which plays nicely with mirrors and the idea of an overhead indoors garden. Starring in its open kitchen, the talented Michael Nourloglou, proposes a simple modern menu for lunch, but enters a culinary orbit in the evenings, with dishes such as the elegant fois gras with almonds and tangerine, and the beautifully balanced veal liver with quince, miso and kale. The remarkable bar on the upper level serves cocktails, coffee, tea and fresh juices.
