 The exhibition “Untitled II: Greek Postwar Abstraction: The heroic years” traces the emergence and gradual establishment of abstraction in Greece from the 1950s to the mid-1960s. From the time when abstraction was being challenged, contested and rejected, to its prevalence as a vehicle for renewing the visual language. Included are works by Yannis Gaitis, Chryssa Vardea, Giorgos Zongolopoulos, Vlassis Kaniaris, Nikos Kessanlis, Kostas Koulendianos, Alex Mylonas, Chryssa Romanou, Yiannis Spyropoulos, Kostas Tsoklis.
