The DESTE Foundation and the New Museum of New York in collaboration with the Benaki Museum, present the exhibition “The same river Twice: Contemporary Art in Athens”. Curators Margot Norton and Natalie Bell begin with the aphorism attributed to Heraclitus and invite more than 30 artists of all ages and nationalities, who are active in the Greek capital, to comment on the city’s fluid artistic reality. Working across all mediums, the artists document the shifting landscapes of Athens, examine its monuments and relics, the character of its people and its architectural style.
